Duck Shoot
A game where you are rewarded for shooting simulated wildlife and (bizzarely) the sun. Even though the code asks if you want instructions these haven’t been typed in from whatever magazine it appeared in – my guess is Computer and Video Games in 1982 or 1983. Fortunately it’s simple enough to play.
G – moves you left, K moves you right and H fires your gun at a passing duck or the sun. Points are scored for hitting something.

There are a couple of bugs that are apparent (for example, moving to the extreme right of the screen doesn’t update the graphics properly) but none are serious enough to stop the game working. I suspect it was originally typed into our MZ-80K by my brother rather than me.
One oddity of the game is that when you fire at a duck it obligingly stays still until the shot hits or misses. I suspect it wouldn’t be too difficult to alter the game to introduce continuous animation.
The final screen doesn’t pull its punches …

If you’d like to run some of the programs I’ve archived on your own MZ-80K or emulator, you can find them in my Sharp MZ-80K github repository.
